61 lbs. lost
Thanks to this exciting journey I am now down 61 pounds. I am able to do physical activities I have not been able to do for at least 20 years. I am at the gym five days a week (alternate between swimming and treadmill/weights). I honestly have energy to burn, my wife has noticed that I often have a hard time sitting still, and I am always on the move. Doing chores and projects around the house is a lot easier then last year at this time. This journey is life changing in some many different ways.
Current weight = 195.5 lbs.
65 lbs. lost
Down another 4 pounds for a total of 65 pounds I really noticed now much weight I have lost when I tried to fill the dog food container with a 50 pound bag – no wonder my aches and pains have disappeared. Sticking to the nutrition plan is key especially as I get further away from my surgery date (protein first and small meals/snacks throughout the day). I have found that this journey is pretty easy as long as you figure out what works best for you and stick with it.
Current weight = 192 lbs.
68.5 lbs. lost
I now have a stand-up desk at work and hope to take advantage of my reduced weight and extra energy. Looking forward to our son visiting at the end of June, he has been in Kodiak, Alaska for the past 15 months in the U.S. Coast Guard. He will be shocked considering the last time he has saw me I was at my heaviest. I cannot wait to spend some quality time with him and I am looking forward to keeping up with him physically. I am hoping while he is here we can take a few long hikes or maybe participate in a 5k or 10k. My journal entry for July will be all about his visit and everything that I am able to accomplish, stay tuned. I am grateful for Dr. Grantham and the FirstHealth Bariatric Team, they have greatly assisted me in getting my life back.
