RAEFORD – Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, has recognized FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics in Raeford as a Center of Distinction for clinical excellence.
The award acknowledges the program’s outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal.
Only 22 centers achieved the Center of Distinction award out of the 512 that were eligible for the honor.
”This honor is an acknowledgement of what our patients already know: that our wound care clinic delivers wonderful care from the front desk through the nursing care, case management and hyperbaric treatment to healing,” says Jeffrey R. Gibbons, M.D., assistant medical director for FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics. “As a care provider, I am fortunate and proud to work with this team.”
“Chronic wounds can be very difficult to manage, but the superior efforts of the team in our Wound Care & Hyperbarics program here in Hoke County have contributed to wonderful outcomes in so many patients,” says Susan Beaty, R.N., president of Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus. “My congratulations to Dr. Gibbons and every member of his team for this recognition of their successful program.”
