FirstHealth Home Care observed Home Care Month a little early this year (in October instead of November) with the Oct. 21 delivery of an entire fleet of 30 cars ordered from Enterprise Fleet Management. Members of the Home Care staff will use the brand-new 2015 Nissan Versas to make patient visits. Since the staff traveled more than 450,000 miles to make those visits last year, the cars will mean a considerable cost-savings to FirstHealth of the Carolinas as well as to the employees who had previously been using their private vehicles for patient visits. FirstHealth Home Care took the opportunity to combine the delivery of the cars to the Home Care office on Highway 211 West with the annual Home Care Month celebration of a job well done. Enterprise Fleet Management added to the celebration by contributing a Panera Bread breakfast and gift certificates for car washes and car-themed gift baskets.
