Through the efforts of our friends who have hosted and participated in third-party fundraisers, our patients and their families have been the beneficiaries of needed services and programs to assist them at their time of need.
Philanthropy is more than just a charitable donation; it is an effort undertaken by an individual or organization based upon an altruistic desire to improve human welfare. And there is no better description that fits the multitude of individuals and groups who have come together in many different ways and venues to take care of those in our community. It requires faith, commitment and a truly philanthropic heart to generously give time, talent and resources to help those you may never meet. And the most important thing is that every dollar raised for The Foundation of FirstHealth stays local.
From 2011 to 2013 community groups and individuals raised more than $207,000 through events they held – truly making a difference.
