Whether writing encouraging letters to friends and relatives on the antique desk that sits in the corner of her home in Seven Lakes or giving words of encouragement to those in need through her participation in FirstHealth’s CARE-Net program, Helen Simpson has never been shy about pitching in to help those facing life’s challenges.

In addition to offering one-on-one support to two dozen cancer patients and their families as a volunteer for the CARE-Net program, she is an active member of the Foundation of FirstHealth’s Scroll Society, Circle of Friends and Legacy Circle. Her spirit of philanthropy apparently has no bounds, and she is “always happy to be of service.”

“Once I became involved and understood everything that‘s happening here at FirstHealth, I wanted to become even more involved. For that, I am richer for the experience.”
