Whether dedicating time and energy tending to their tree farm to support woodland reforestation or being honored for their lifelong dedication to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at the Hospital Auxiliary’s Holiday Ball, Ebbie and John Monroe have always been committed to a family tradition of community service.

Dr. Monroe is the nephew of the hospital’s first physician and administrator. Since retiring from the ENT team at Pinehurst Surgical, he has continued his uncle’s legacy through his involvement with the Foundation’s Retired Physician Network and in support of the Stepping Stones Campaign. Ebbie Monroe has also been active in the community, serving on countless committees as a member of the Moore County School Advisory Council, as a trustee of Sandhills Community College and as a member of the North Carolina State Board of Education.
