FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care
Making a difference in our community – with dignity and compassion
OverviewMake A Donation
Walt Santilli was nearing the end of his fight with a serious disease. “Hospice gave us the gift of time,” says his wife Diane. “Hospice was able to get Walt's symptoms under control and give us a month of pain-free, quality time. It was wonderful. Walt was able to do the things he loved again, and we were able to plan . . . and say good-bye. I will be forever grateful.”
Pam Hudson understands these feelings well. Now the senior development officer with the Foundation, Pam served as the Hospice Chaplain for about 12 years. “I believe one of the best things we can do for each other is to help maintain our dignity. Hospice care does this with compassion, and encourages peace of mind and body and soul as we teeter on the edge of the mystery of dying.”
