Heart CARE Fund

Charitable giving through The Foundation of FirstHealth made all of these investments possible – and led directly to the development of the Reid Heart Center, the centerpiece of comprehensive heart and vascular care services at FirstHealth. By supporting our fight against heart disease, you make it possible for FirstHealth to continue to attract the best and brightest providers to deliver innovative, life-saving services to our community.

Donations Help us Lead in Heart Care

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital is home to one of the finest cardiac care programs in the country. Staffed with experts in cardiology, surgery and critical care nursing, this program combines specialized knowledge, state-of-the art equipment and compassionate care to diagnose and treat heart disease effectively and efficiently. Here is how your donation could help patients with heart conditions — and the nurses and physicians who provide their care:

  • $25 - Assists patients with co-payments for essential medications

  • $50 - Provides transportation to and from cardiac rehabilitation

  • $75 - Contributes towards scholarships for uninsured/underinsured patients to participate in community cardiac care programs

  • $100 - Contributes towards continuing education for staff to maintain best practices in cardiac care

  • $150 - Contributes towards investment and ongoing maintenance of technologies in cardiac rehabilitation

You may make your donation in memory or honor of someone special. Your gift will be acknowledged, and a personalized letter will be sent to the person or family of the person you have honored or memorialized.

FirstHealth’s Cardiac Program operates with a strong commitment to community outreach and education programs directed at early detection and prevention of heart disease. Through your financial support, join FirstHealth in providing advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, improved access to care, community education, advanced training for nursing, cardiac rehabilitation and research.

Cardiac CARE-Net

The Cardiac CARE-Net provides stipends for medications and transportation for patients who have been identified through cardiac rehab or their physician office.  The goal is supporting the cost of these items to ensure that the patient remains compliant in follow-up care and is taking the proper medications to avoid an unnecessary hospital readmission.
