Reid Center for Well-Being

The health care landscape is constantly changing, thanks in part to a complex and demanding work environment. Burnout rates are higher than ever before, but FirstHealth is committed to providing resources to those who care for our community. Established in 2023, the FirstHealth Reid Center for Well-Being (CWB) is an innovative benefit for all employees sponsored by the Foundation of FirstHealth.

The Reid Center for Well-Being provides services for staff, providers and contract clients. Services are confidential and occur outside of any documentation of FirstHealth of the Carolinas and include:

  • Wellness triage, care coordination
  • Mental health counseling
  • Executive coaching
  • Manager leadership development
  • Deployable wellness
  • Team building

    The group offers a safe and welcoming space to talk about postpartum care, breastfeeding stressors, change in identity/role and the importance of sleep and self-care.

    Expectant parents will learn the benefits of breastfeeding, positions to use while breastfeeding, feeding patterns, pumping and introduction of bottles.

    One-Day Prepared Childbirth Class
    10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    The goal of the class is to provide specific information about the latter stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, a tour of the Women and Children’s center, as well as what to expect following delivery.
