Following Gov. Roy Cooper’s announcementthat North Carolina would move to Safer at Home Phase 2.5 in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, FirstHealth Fitness - Richmond officially reopened its doors to members Friday, Sept. 4.
In compliance with Gov. Cooper’s latest COVID-19 executive order, masks will be required inside the fitness center at all times starting Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020 until further notice.
Many safety protocols put in place during our partial reopening the last few months will remain in place, ensuring that our center is ready to safely serve the health and fitness needs of our members and the community.
As a medical fitness center, FirstHealth Fitness – Richmond is more than just a gym. All of our programs are medically based and under the supervision of a medical doctor. They feature the latest in cardio and weight training equipment, as well as innovativegroup exercise classes. The aquatics center houses an indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room.
The center, located at 120 Richmond Memorial Drive in Rockingham, offers swimming lessons, educational lectures on a variety of health and wellness topics and on-site massage services. Additional amenities include a cushioned indoor track, a basketball and volleyball court, full-service locker rooms, child care services and a variety of children’s programming, including summer camps.
