6-Week Senior Strength Training Program September 10 - October 19 meets M/W/F at 1:30 p.m. Aimed to help seniors improve power, speed, flexibility and core strength, this strength class will meet three times per week for 6 weeks with Fitness Coach Evan Cole, BS. There are many benefits of strength training but most importantly it helps us maintain our independence and ability to perform activities of daily living - something we all strive for! Not only will you see the physical benefits from the program, you will have established a pattern of accountability by being here three times per week as well as enhancing your confidence to exercise independently. Evan will perform a pre- and post-test on participants individually and will lead the group through all the strength exercises 3 times per week for 6 weeks. It's okay if you have never done strength training before. The level of difficulty can be adjusted. Participants should be able to go up and down stairs.
