William "Miller" Johnstone, III, cares for patients at FirstHealth Concierge Medicine, providing personalized, patient-centered primary care with a focus on wellness, prevention and chronic disease management.
Dr. Johnstone is board certified in geriatric medicine and family medicine and an adjunct assistant professor of medicine at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to practicing as a concierge medicine physician he also provides geriatric medicine consultations for FirstHealth of the Carolinas.
He has a keen interest in understanding patients’ stories to help formulate treatment plans that make sense for each individual patient, placing an emphasis on disease prevention, wellness and management of chronic disease. Dr. Johnstone treats a wide age range of patients from adolescents through older adults and enjoys the opportunity to treat families as well.
Dr. Johnstone is also certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Level 1 Certification. With this expertise in golf fitness, he can evaluate and optimize a golfer's performance by understanding the critical connection between body movement and swing efficiency.
A Moore County native, Dr. Johnstone lives in Southern Pines with his wife, son, and daughter. Outside of medicine, he is actively involved in the community serving on the board of the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities and offering his expertise as a speaker for numerous civic and community organizations.
