FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to welcome Tania Oliveira, DNP, FNP-BC, CCM, CARN, to its team of providers at FirstHealth Primary Care-Pinehurst.

Oliveira, a board certified family nurse practitioner, joins Peter Dorton, M.D., and Brianne Evans, PA-C, and will focus on prevention, women’s health and chronic disease management.

Oliveira earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Primary Care from the University of Utah, completing diverse rotations across primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, women’s health and veterans’ health services. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Brigham Young University.

Her clinical interests are rooted in helping patients live full, healthy lives. “I love preventive care — being in tune with your body as it ages is key to preventing chronic diseases and improving quality of life,” said Oliveira. “I’m also passionate about women’s health, empowering women to make informed choices about their health and well-being.”

I had a nurse trainee..... I think! Was not asked, he just took over for the regular nurse. I was happy with his service but would have liked to seen the usual nurse. Everything else was good! Heard the results from my visit the very next day. However we did not find the cause of the reason for my visit. Provided said if not resolved in 2 weeks, come back! I will!

Excellent experience. Good staff communication. Attention from medical providers was focused and helpful. My only comment would be that the practice was difficult to find among all those white buildings with black trim. It took a good five minutes of driving thru the buildings to locate the right one.

I am a patient of Dr. Tanya O'Vegari. She is amazing. She is my angel of the day. She listens, she's compassionate. I can agree, I can disagree, I can ask her for something else, I can ask her for a referral, and she always listens. If the answers are yes, she explains why. If the answers are maybe, maybe not, she explains why. I feel respected and heard, and I have complete confidence in Tanya. She is amazing. I brag on her all the time. So, and she's very professional. You know, they need to know that. Professional, and I believe that she understands my medical condition and my mental condition, what doesn't work for me, and she's willing to question me and change ?

This was the best experience with the FirstHealth provider since I have been going to FirstHealth providers for the last 20 years. My provider Tania Oliveira listen to me and explained to me my blood work results, reviewed my history with Current medications also listen to my questions and explain in detail what the answer answers to my questions.
