About Roger Diaz, PA-C
Roger Diaz, PA-C, is an experienced family medicine provider caring for patients of all ages in Chatham County and surrounding communities. With more than 14 years of patient care experience, Diaz is committed to building relationships with patients and helping them manage their health through every stage of life.
Diaz earned his Master of Health Sciences from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rutgers University. He also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the North Carolina Army National Guard.
A Career Rooted in Service
Diaz’s interest in medicine began in high school, when he started his medical career as an EMT. He later became an Army medic, where working alongside medical officers inspired him to pursue a career as a physician assistant.
“I worked with medical officers and felt this could be the next challenge for me to undertake,” Diaz said. “I was very fortunate to attend the Duke University PA program, which helped create the physician assistant profession in the 1960s.”
Outside of Work
When he isn’t caring for patients, Diaz enjoys rock climbing, teaching children Taekwondo and learning about analytics and programming.
