What Patients Are Saying

It wasn't a pleasant experience. The receptionist at the front desk was unfriendly and somewhat discourteous. I spent nearly 3 hours driving round-trip and had a less than 10 minute conversation with a PA. It was a waste of time.

Everyone at the neurosurgery clinic since my first interaction in the ER two weeks ago has been incredibly professional and positive. I truly feel like I have been given the best care available and I cannot thank everyone enough for taking such good care of me

Dr. was more interested in getting out than talking with me.

The PA spent very little time with me, explained nothing and just said he would refer me to a pain clinic. I was not given any explanation or any other options as a solution. I do not like the idea and the stigma that is associated with pain clinics and wanted to hear other options, but he just left the room before I could even ask. His demeanor gave me the feel that I was not worth his time. He didn't ask me anything at all. I guess he would rather read my chart and not talk to me. I would be clueless if it wasn't for the nurse that came in and explained some things. I honestly felt horrible when I left, like I had no value as a patient. I will NOT return to see him and will share my experience with anyone that asks. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a physician.

The staff and Doctor showed that they cared for my health and concerns. Understood that this is all new to me when it came to my brain and what could be wrong. When my husband and I left we both felt very comfortable that I would be taken care of. More doctors should treat all their patients as I was. At this point I say thank you for caring, it means a lot to me making it much easier for me to cope.

Matthew seemed non interested in what I was asking him. Didn't give me enough information, to be saying that surgery may be only choice, but he also said that surgery may not help. Confused?

I was told all about the process and a timely matter for progress and time it would take. I understood the process. Very pleased with the Dr.

We were confused thinking that I was going to get a procedure done. We didn't realize that it was going to be a consultation only. This is the first time I have dealt with the issue with you. We'll know better next time. Looking forward to working with the Pain Clinic.

I did not remotely get the answer that I wanted. However, I got a very honest and again, unwanted answer, but I absolutely respect it and trust it. And that's because of the confidence that I actually got while I was there. So I appreciate that.

I would like to see a doctor so that I could get to know the person that I'm wanting to do surgery on my back.
