George Stone, M.D., serves patients at FirstHealth Urogynecology with Southern Pines Women’s Health Center. 

Stone is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist with board certifications in both obstetrics and gynecology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, he completed both his residency and fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

He previously served as the Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Gynecologic Chief at Womack Army Medical Center, where he earned numerous honors for excellence in clinical care and resident education.

Dr. Stone and his staff were lovely. I hesitated to see a new provider for these issues but so glad I did. He was patient and considerate. He explained everything fully and did not rush me in any way. I would recommend Dr. Stone to anyone.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Stone regarding my upcoming hysterectomy, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. His bedside manner was truly wonderful-he took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable and confident about the surgery. His staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring I felt taken care of from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Dr. Stone and his team for their professionalism, compassion, and exceptional care.

All staff with whom I was in contact treated me with courtesy, respect, and friendliness. Dr. Stone answered all of my questions and discussed each problem knowledgeably and thoroughly. He spent a lot of time with me but I never felt rushed.

The staff did not make sure that I knew that the location for my appointment had been changed. The day before I got a text stating the new address but when I tried to call to verify which location all I was able to do was leave messages which did not get a reply. Luckily I went to the changed address.
