George Stone, M.D., serves patients at FirstHealth Urogynecology with Southern Pines Women’s Health Center. 

Stone is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist with board certifications in both obstetrics and gynecology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, he completed both his residency and fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

He previously served as the Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Gynecologic Chief at Womack Army Medical Center, where he earned numerous honors for excellence in clinical care and resident education.

His bedside manner was truly wonderful-he took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable and confident about the surgery. His staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring I felt taken care of from the moment I arrived. All staff with whom I was in contact treated me with courtesy, respect, and friendliness. Dr. Stone answered all of my questions and discussed each problem knowledgeably and thoroughly. He spent a lot of time with me but I never felt rushed.

The staff did not make sure that I knew that the location for my appointment had been changed. The day before I got a text stating the new address but when I tried to call to verify which location all I was able to do was leave messages which did not get a reply. Luckily I went to the changed address.

This place was absolutely amazing. They talked me through the whole test. I love that y'all use the mychart app so you are able to talk and see my medicine from my doctors.

I can't remember the last time I was seen so quickly and the doctor took a full hour to spend on my issues. Everything explained in full detail. Very impressed with the level of service!

Dr. Stone was fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone. I enjoyed the time he took to explain everything to me and I feel like that he's a great doctor and I wish him well and thank you so much for seeing me.

Dr. Stone's medical office was absolutely perfect to my needs and understanding what I was looking for. Dr. Stone is 100% the best doctor I have come across, and everyone is very caring and understanding of the patient's needs. So yes, I would recommend this office, this doctor, to anyone and everyone.
