Bria Hicks treats patients at FirstHealth Family Medicine - Pinnacle in Fayetteville.
Hicks earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minnesota in 2022 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Hicks has a passion for building strong relationships with her patients and has many years of working as a family nurse practitioner and nurse. She has cared for patients in emergency rooms, post-surgical care units and has also worked in psychiatry with adults and pediatric patients.
“My approach to patient care is holistic and relationship-driven. I strive to build trust through open communication, patient education and empathy. Whether managing chronic conditions or addressing acute concerns, I focus on meeting patients where they are and partnering with them to improve their health outcomes,” she said.
Hicks said she has always had a deep desire to care for others.
“My ‘Aha!’ moment came during my early clinical experiences in the emergency room and psychiatric settings where I witnessed the powerful impact a compassionate provider can have,” she said. “Those experiences solidified my purpose and drove me to advance my career as a family nurse practitioner,” Hicks said.
Beyond work, Hicks said she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, listening to podcasts and music. She also prioritizes activities that support mental health and well-being to help her “show up as the best provider possible for my patients.”
