FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to welcome Allen Ballew, D.O., to our care team at FirstHealth Primary Care – Raeford.
Born in Knoxville, T.n., Ballew earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Prior to medical school, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from The University of Tennessee.
Ballew moved to North Carolina in 2014 to start a family medicine residency at Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville. After completing his residency in June 2017, he began practicing family medicine at Carolina Family Clinic in Laurinburg.
Ballew said he is excited to start serving patients in Hoke. “I am grateful to be joining such a dedicated primary care team and look forward to contributing to high-quality, compassionate care for our community,” he said.
When it comes to his work, he said that building relationships and fostering connections are among his favorite aspects.
“Family medicine has always been about connection for me, and I am excited to bring that approach to a new practice,” he said.
The father of three young children, Ballew enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including biking, fishing, golf, photography and sports.
