Patricia Lage, M.D., serves patients at FirstHealth Primary Care -Raeford.

Lage is fluent in Spanish and served in the U.S. Army supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. She completed a family medicine residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center in South Carolina after earning her medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine. Lage said impacting others is what led her to a career in medicine.

“I was drawn to a career in medicine because it gives me the opportunity to empower and positively influence others by educating them on ways to improve their health,” she said.

“I hope I can help patients at Primary Care – Raeford adopt sustainable lifestyle choices for long-term quality of life.”

Outside of work, Lage said she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, reading, watching movies and staying active.

Yes, I talked and told why I didn't take the referral and with great interest she listened. And took in what I communicated and tried to pull the information up. So the communication was great. If you can't communicate then you will get no cooperation, but the communication was great. I glad I was not feel like I was press to do something I didn't want to do. I just like the communication this time, it is important to me.
