Beth Walker, R.N., has served as president of Montgomery Memorial Hospital since October 2011. She earned a diploma in nursing from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. A native of Montgomery County, she resides in Troy. Her entire career has been devoted to the health care field at Montgomery Memorial Hospital, where she worked as staff nurse in ICU for five years. Walker serves as a member of Montgomery County Economic Development Committee and the Uwharrie Mountain Festival Steering Committee. She previously served on the Montgomery County Board of Health. She has been a volunteer for Communities in Schools and the Montgomery County Free Clinic. She is an alumna of the Leadership Montgomery program.
