FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond earned the Top Hospital designation from The Leapfrog Group.
U.S. News & World Report Rankings
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has once again been ranked as one of the best hospitals in North Carolina by U.S. News & World Report.
In the publications annual Best Hospital’s recognition, Moore Regional was ranked eighth in the state and was recognized as high-performing in several procedures and conditions.
Moore Regional achieved the highest rating possible in eight procedures/ conditions including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement and lung cancer surgery.
America's 100 Great Community Hospitals
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has been named one of America's 100 Great Community Hospitals, according to a study released in July by Becker's Hospital Review.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) has recognized FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with a Blue Distinction® Center+ for Bariatric Surgery designation as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program.
Business NC
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, including its Richmond and Hoke campuses, was ranked number one in patient picks in Business North Carolina’s annual “Best Hospitals” edition. The ranking is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, a survey completed by adult patients between 48 hours and six weeks after discharge. The patient picks list was compiled based on the percentage of patients who would recommend the hospital to others. The North Carolina average is 71 percent, while the national average is 72 percent. FirstHealth is well above the state and national averages.
Leapfrog
FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has earned an “A” grade on Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades in The Leapfrog Group’s spring ratings. The Leapfrog Group is a nonprofit organization committed to driving quality, safety and transparency in the U.S. health care system.
Primary Stroke Center Designation
The Joint Commission certified Moore Regional Hospital as a Primary Stroke Center in April of 2018. This certification recognizes programs that make exceptional efforts to provide better outcomes for stroke care and that have critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving patient outcomes.
Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence
The Wound Care & Hyperbarics programs at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond and FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital - Hoke have both received a national award for continued excellence in wound healing. The Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award goes to wound care centers in the Healogics network that have met the highest level of quality standards for a minimum of two consecutive years. This is the third year in a row that the Richmond campus has received this designation and second in a row for the Hoke campus.
MRH Wound Center of Distinction
The Wound Care & Hyperbarics program at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has both received the Center of Distinction award from the Healogics network.
Hospice Honors
FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care has been named a 2018 Hospice Honors recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst, the leading provider of Web-based home health and hospice software, billing and coding services, CAHPS surveys and advanced analytics.
