Richmond Memorial Hospital Wound Program Named Center of Distinction

The FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics program at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital has been recognized by Healogics Inc. with the Center of Distinction Award for the third time in as many years and the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence Award for quality standards for the second consecutive year.

U.S. News & World Report

FirstHealth Moore Regional has once again been ranked as one of the best hospitals in North Carolina by U.S. News & World Report. Moore Regional achieved the highest rating possible in eight procedures/ conditions including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, COPD, hip and knee replacements, and lung cancer surgery. The hospital was also ranked high-performing in the specialties of geriatrics, pulmonology and urology.

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital Accredited as a Comprehensive Surgical Weight-loss Center

The FirstHealth Bariatric Center, a surgical weight-loss program at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, has been accredited as a comprehensive center under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a joint program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Gold Performance Award for Cardiac Care

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital received the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s NCDR ACTION Registry—Get with the Guidelines (GWTG) Gold Performance Achievement Award, a recognition awarded to only 167 hospitals nationwide in 2011.

NC Prevention Partners Gold Heart Standards Hospital

North Carolina Prevention Partners recognized FirstHealth of the Carolinas for providing the highest standard of excellence for tobacco-cessation programs offered to patients. The three FirstHealth hospitals – Moore Regional in Pinehurst, Richmond Memorial in Rockingham and Montgomery Memorial in Troy – were acknowledged as Gold Heart Standard Hospitals.  FirstHealth was the first health system in the state to receive the recognition.
