Medicare Annual Enrollment: October 15-December 7

We know many patients have questions about their Medicare options this year, especially since FirstMedicare Direct is ending its Medicare Advantage coverage.

2025 Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is here. From October 15 through December 7, you have the opportunity to review your Medicare coverage and make any changes for the upcoming year. Choosing the right plan is an important step in making sure you can continue your care with FirstHealth providers and facilities.

Please note: While we strive to provide accurate and the most up-to-date information, it's crucial to verify the details directly with your chosen health plan.  Please contact your insurance agent or provider directly for the most current information.

Important Reminder About Prescription Coverage

If you currently have FirstMedicare Direct and you don't make a choice during AEP, you will default to traditional Medicare on Jan. 1, 2026.  Traditional Medicare does not automatically include prescription coverage.  If you return to traditional Medicare without selecting a Medicare Advantage plan that includes prescription coverage (Part D) or without enrolling in a stand-alone Part D plan, you may not have drug coverage. The right combination of plans (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and/or Part D) is essential to ensure you have both medical and prescription coverage.
