RAEFORD, N.C. – Corey Bivens, a registration services professional at Moore Regional Hospital – Hoke, is the most recent winner of FirstHealth’s BEE Award, which recognizes employees who go above and beyond to fulfill the system’s core purpose – To Care for People.
A fellow MRH-Hoke team member nominated Bivens, who was praised for his “exceptional care of patients.”
“Overall, he is an amazing team player at the front emergency department registration desk. He assists the triage nurse to identify patients needing immediate assistance,” the co-worker said.
“He has a wonderful bedside manner and kind personality in all his interactions. In several instances, he’s advocated for patients’ prompt assessments and assisted me with ensuring that patients receive timely care. He is truly a gem!”
Eulric Hood, Bivens’ manager in the registration department, said he consistently goes above and beyond to help patients and coworkers.
“He has a great relationship with coworkers and creates a supportive team atmosphere. He demonstrates a deep commitment to patient well-being, actively listens to their needs and empowers them with knowledge,” Hood said.
“He communicates effectively with both patients and colleagues and advocates for their best interests with empathy and compassion, always prioritizing patient dignity and respecting their autonomy.”
