Southern Pines Women’s Health Center to Welcome Two OB/GYN Physicians 

Lissette Machin, M.D, and Taylor McCauley, M.D.SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Southern Pines Women’s Health Center - a FirstHealth Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of two highly respected OB/GYN physicians to our team.

Taylor McCauley, M.D., and Lissette E. Machin, M.D., bring a wealth of experience and dedication to women’s health. Both physicians will begin seeing patients with Southern Pines Women’s Health Center on March 1, 2024. 

Dr. McCauley, who earned her Doctor of Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, previously cared for patients with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic from 2018 to 2023. Before attending East Carolina for medical school, McCauley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Campbell University. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Dr. Machin earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Medical School and completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital/Elmhurst Hospital in New York.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.

Dr. Machin currently cares for patients at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic. Recognizing the importance of continuity of care, Southern Pines Women’s Health Center will work closely with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic to communicate with patients regarding their care.

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic will contact patients directly over the coming weeks to provide additional information and support.

In addition to its current clinic location at 145 Applecross Drive, Southern Pines Women’s Health Center and FirstHealth will lease Pinehurst Surgical Clinic’s OB/GYN clinic space at 5 FirstVillage Drive to meet the needs for patient access.
