Certified Hand Therapist Brings Extensive Experience and Passion to FirstHealth Outpatient Rehab Team 

Danielle BenoitPINEHURST, N.C. – FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to announce the addition of Danielle Benoit, OTR/L, CHT, MEd, to the outpatient rehabilitation team at 12 Aviemore Drive in Pinehurst. Benoit brings more than 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist and a specialization in hand therapy to the rehab team.

Benoit earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in education/occupational therapy from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.

She spent two decades honing her skills as an occupational therapist in outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation. As a certified hand therapist since 2016, Benoit has specialized in custom orthotic/splint fabrication and has vast experience in post-surgical rehab of the hand, wrist and upper quarter. She has extensive experience working with neurologically impaired patients across all settings.

Benoit’s return to FirstHealth, where she previously worked for nine years, is a homecoming that highlights her commitment to providing exceptional care to our community.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Benoit is deeply involved in her community and passionate about giving back. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and has participated in medical mission trips in Central America.

In her personal time, Benoit enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and kayaking, often accompanied by her beloved black lab. She also cherishes spending time with her grown children whenever possible.
