CARTHAGE – FirstHealth has announced plans to open a new health and wellness facility in the former Ace Hardware Building located at 215 Capital Drive in Carthage near the Moore County Airport next summer.
Plans include relocating the Convenient Care Clinic located at 7473-C Highway 22 in Whispering Pines to the new location.
In addition to convenient care, family medicine will also be offered in this new location. Angela Walling, FNP, currently of FirstHealth Family Medicine-Vass will relocate her practice to the new space.
By relocating Convenient Care, FirstHealth will enhance and expand primary care in the current Whispering Pines location and plans to recruit an additional health care provider to join this practice. Family medicine providers Todd Nicholson, P.A.-C and Tom Wilkins, P.A.-C will continue to see patients in their current Whispering Pines location.
In addition to convenient care and family medicine, FirstHealth plans to incorporate a 24-hour fitness facility within the former Ace Hardware Building.
“As we work to solidify these plans, we’re targeting a summer 2024 opening date for the new facility,” said Dan Barnes, D.O., president of FirstHealth Physician Group. “We look forward to the development of this new location to offer additional health and wellness options to residents in this area.”
