Kerry Herbine, FACHE

Kerry Herbine, FACHE, president Western region, and Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Mr. Herbine accepted this role in April 2025 and will join FirstHealth at the end of March 2025 succeeding Becky Carter, MSN, R.N., FACHE, who retired after five years of service with FirstHealth. In this position, Mr. Herbine is responsible for all operational aspects of the hospital and provides administrative support to hospital leadership and staff. Additionally, he is responsible for guiding FirstHealth services in the Western region. He reports to the chief operating officer of FirstHealth of the Carolinas and works directly with senior management to ensure patient, employee and physician satisfaction.

Education/Experience: Mr. Herbine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Oklahoma State University. Mr. Herbine has held senior hospital management roles for the better part of his career. Most recently, he served as the chief executive officer for Community HealthCare System in Onaga, Kan. Community HealthCare System is a not-for-profit health care system that serves rural communities in northeast Kansas. He had served in that role since April 2024. Prior to that, he served three years as the chief operating officer for Lewis County Health System in Lowville, N.Y. He also served as the senior director of diagnostic services at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Ariz. Kerry’s career also includes experience in dentistry management and telecommunications.
