Jeremy Stephens, MSA

Jeremy Stephens, MSA, serves as chief people officer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas.  He joined FirstHealth in July 2026, bringing more than 30 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, with a proven track record of aligning human capital strategy with organizational goals in complex health care environments.

Prior to joining FirstHealth, Jeremy served as executive vice president & chief human resources officer at Tidelands Health in Murrells Inlet, S.C., where he led human resources for the health system.  His extensive background also includes senior human resources leadership roles at the University of Michigan Health System, Chelsea Community Hospital (Trinity Health) and as cabinet-level chief human resources officer for the State of Michigan, where he oversaw human resources strategy for more than 50,000 employees.

He holds a Master of Science in Administration in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management, both from Central Michigan University.
