How We Produce the Community Health Needs Assessment
Led by FirstHealth Community Health Services, the CHNA process brings together local leaders, public health experts, and community members to identify the most pressing health priorities in our area. By listening to the voices of those who live and work in our communities, we gain valuable insight into factors that affect health — such as access to care, chronic disease, behavioral health, transportation, and social support.
The findings from the CHNA guide our strategies, programs, and partnerships, helping us focus resources where they are needed most. This ensures we are not only treating illness, but also addressing the root causes of poor health and working toward a healthier future for all. About FirstHealth
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a private, non-profit, comprehensive health care delivery system that serves approximately patients in a predominantly rural five-county primary region in the mid-Carolinas.
The system is comprised of four hospitals to include FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond Campus, FirstHealth Moore Regional – Hoke Campus and FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital (a critical access hospital) with a total of 546 licensed beds.
We also operate dozens of outpatient clinics, seven fitness centers and dental clinics for children in need. FirstHealth also operates a retail pharmacy, an emergency medical system (EMS), home health and hospice care and critical care transport services. FirstHealth employs just over 6,400 people in the region.
Based on a commitment to implement innovative services designed to care for the region’s most vulnerable populations, FirstHealth also provides occupational health screenings, school-based health clinic services, substance use counseling, behavioral health care and chronic disease management services, as well as a broad range of behavioral health/lifestyle modification programs.
