For men diagnosed with prostate cancer and considering a prostatectomy, FirstHealth offers Robotic Surgery with the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System, the most advanced technology in minimally invasive surgery. Aided by a high-resolution, full-color 3-D images of the internal structures, surgeons perform prostatectomies and through 1- to 2-cm incisions. Benefits of robotic surgery can include reduced recovery times, less pain, decreased risk of infection and fewer complications.

In addition to prostatectomy as a treatment for prostate cancer, the Cancer Center at Moore Regional Hospital offers chemotherapy, radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, biologic therapy and support for patients with prostate cancer.
