The FirstHealth Medication Assistance Program helps patients obtain medications from pharmaceutical companies. These medicines are for chronic diseases including asthma, chronic bronchitis, congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, emphysema, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Who is eligible for the Medication Assistance Program?
Any patient who does not have prescription drug coverage (including Medicaid or Medicare) and meets financial qualifications.
A member of the program staff will schedule your first appointment to see if you qualify and complete necessary paperwork.
In addition, a pharmacist is available for a medication review. The pharmacist will make sure:
- That your medications can safely be taken together
- That your medications are right for you and your condition
- That you are not taking unnecessary or duplicate medications
- That you are aware of possible less-expensive medications
All services are free of charge. For more information about the Medication Assistance Programs or to make an appointment, call:
