Since 1998, the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers have provided dental care to more than 23,000 underserved children in Moore, Montgomery and Hoke counties. The Dental Care Centers average more than 1,000 visits a month across the three centers and accept 100 new patients per month. About 70 percent of the children seen during the program’s first year of operation had either never seen a dentist at all or hadn’t been to the dentist in more than a year.
Services provided at the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers include preventive dental sealants, cleanings and exams, white and silver fillings, extractions and spacers.
Who we serve
The dentists and staff at the FirstHealth Dental Care Centers provide care for children from birth to 18 years who receive Medicaid, Health Choice or are uninsured and qualify by income level.
