These highly motivated individuals may consider it threatening to their career and reputation should they suffer from an addiction or an emotional dysfunction.

Our Professional Support Aftercare Program (PSAP) treats:

Therapists
Pilots/Airline Personnel
Attorneys/Legal Professionals
Business Executives
Other licensed professionals

Our program for professionals is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment process created to meet the individual needs of the professional and his or her family. The existing relationships we have with each state board and professional health program allow patients to have a smooth transition back to the workplace upon completion of the PSAP.

The goal is to assist our patients return to work in their chosen profession providing it is safe for the patient and the public. Using the vast knowledge acquired by years of treating professionals, our therapists offer outpatient therapy specializing in chemical dependency issues.

We focus not only on issues related to inappropriate use of alcohol or drugs, but also on other self-defeating addictive behaviors and co-occurring mental health difficulties. We believe in the importance of professionals maintaining and improving their own health, wellness and recovery as well as addressing behavioral health issues. We provide specialized therapeutic groups for professionals in which they can receive support and assistance among other individuals who may share similar experiences.

FirstHealth offers a weekly Professional Support Aftercare Program that meets Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at Moore Regional Hospital Behavioral Services Clinic, 35 Memorial Drive, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
