Pain and discomfort don’t have to be a regular part of pregnancy.

With the aid of physical therapy, many of the common problems of pre- and postpartum can be lessened.

Physical therapy can help women manage these common problems of pregnancy (before and after baby’s birth):

  • Lower or upper back pain
  • Cervical or neck pain
  • Postural changes
  • Headaches
  • Decreased endurance
  • Muscle tightness and/or spasm in the spine region or extremities
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist pain or thumb/finger pain and/or numbness and tingling)
  • Pelvic, or hip, instability and pain
  • Incontinence (loss of bladder control)
  • Plantar fasciitis or pain in the arch of the foot
