The Shape of Today’s Most Advanced Cancer Care

In high school, we explore new worlds of mathematics, experiencing algebra, trigonometry and even calculus. Yet there is one mathematical arena that we encounter virtually every moment of every day.

Geometry. Simply put, geometry is the study of shapes. Lines. Points. Spheres. Triangles.

Our world consists of two- and three-dimensional objects that can be measured, drawn and counted. With each step we take, we change the shapes around us. And so it is when it comes to diagnosing and treating diseases like cancer. Every technological breakthrough or diagnostic achievement alters the future of the disease forever.

At FirstHealth of the Carolinas, we understand the challenges associated with cancer care. Our efforts are directed not only at fighting the disease, but also at reaching out with education and personal support. Working together, our physicians, administration and staff use creativity, innovation, teamwork and expertise to re-tool the future while shaping cancer care in the mid-Carolinas.
