New Outpatient Cancer Center

In February 2007, FirstHealth of the Carolinas, in collaboration with the medical oncology physicians of Pinehurst Medical Clinic, opened the Outpatient Cancer Center Specializing in Hematology and Medical Oncology.

The new center enables patients to visit physicians and receive chemotherapy in one location. Bringing the physicians, the staff and the patients closer together, the Outpatient Cancer Center improves coordination of care and promotes patient comfort, convenience and service.

Moore Regional’s previous chemotherapy unit had reached capacity. The new center, which is located at 220 Page Road in the former Ambulatory Surgery Center, has actually doubled access for chemotherapy patients. The increased space also provides for a more comfortable environment as well as offering room for growth.

To further prepare for the future, the Outpatient Cancer Center includes office and clinic space for additional cancer physicians.

Clinic hours for the Outpatient Cancer Center are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
