FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital is one of the few Certified Primary Stroke Centers in the state, offering advanced diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services for stroke patients. Our stroke team is more than just fast; it also has the tools and training necessary to meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.
In addition, patients have access to a nationally accredited Center for Rehabilitation that meets the highest accreditation standard possible. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center consistently ranks among the top rehabilitation facilities in the region and nation in the percentage of patients who are able to return home after receiving rehabilitation services.
FirstHealth also offers conveniently located outpatient rehabilitation facilities throughout the service area with experienced and dedicated professionals to meet the patient’s needs. They work with patient to develop an individualized plan of care to help achieve each patient’s personal goals.
Generous gifts supported the construction of our 25-bed Inpatient Rehab Unit. And just recently, the Neuroscience Department received a $25,000 grant from the Moore Regional Hospital Foundation to support continuing education for nurses and therapists. The grant helps with the ongoing challenge of recruiting and retaining qualified staff for the department. The ultimate beneficiaries of the funding are patients with neurological deficits who will receive enhanced expert care.
